This special pillarless Buick is a proper piece of American automotive history and General Motors' first entry into the personal luxury car scene.
Under the long bonnet sits the famous 7.4 - litre V8 engine paired with a buttery - smooth auto, delivering that characteristic big-block American power and torque, with a sound that's marvellous.
With one USA owner before being imported into NZ in 2008, it has been cared for by the next owner and conscientiously maintained ever since. The car is in excellent overall condition save for a few very minor touch-upable details. The bodywork gleams, the chrome work, interior and dash are all in great shape and the cabin retains that classic 1970s feel with luxurious front sheepskin bucket seats - style you can feel, nostalgia you can drive. The vinyl roof is unmarked and free from rust, an area very often a problem with this feature.
The family have been on many Beach Hop and Americana runs, with the car being much admired wherever it has been displayed. A real bonus is the personalised plate 70 BUIK - with 1970 Buick Riviera underneath. It has factory air conditioning and comes with a very comprehensive Workshop Manual.
