60,000 Original Miles - Rust-Free Survivor - Engine Refreshed - NZ New RHD Export Model

This is a rare opportunity to own a beautifully preserved piece of automotive history. Our 1954 DeSoto Diplomat has been in the same family since 1971, and with just 60,000 original miles, it's an exceptional example of an unrestored survivor.

Fully original and rust-free, this right-hand drive (RHD) model was part of Chrysler’s Mopar export program, where DeSoto-branded vehicles were built on the Plymouth Savoy platform specifically for international markets, including New Zealand. These RHD DeSotos are rare and highly sought after, especially in such complete and unmodified condition.

The original (218 ci) engine was removed, professionally refreshed and reinstalled approximately four years ago, and the vehicle remains true to its factory specification.
